First Year of Teaching 4th Grade

As the summer break begins and my first year of teaching in the classroom closes, I am reflecting on all the experiences I’ve had and the opportunities I’ve gained in the past year. With a goal of a healthy school environment in mind, I have implemented a lot of strategies in order to ensure the most nurturing and structured classroom that I could provide. Michelle is a new educator who recently began her primary grade teaching profession in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a passionate educator, Michelle supports diverse student needs and fosters collaborative family engagement at the school. She engages whole child learning for students to become proactive members of our global community.  As Michelle continues her journey as a younger teacher, she will reflect on her educational experiences working in public school classrooms in various communities.
