Yikes! Now We Must Plan for Summer College
EJ has had an incredibly exciting and busy year as a college sophomore attending a university in the SF Bay Area. We have enjoyed our visits with him at school and during the winter break at home. EJ is now busy with his spring semester and taking a demanding course load.
He recently met with his advisor to plan his upper division courses for next year. EJ must complete a Chemistry Lab before he can achieve his Junior status. Additionally, the Chemistry Lab is a prerequisite for his next sequence of classes.
EJ must enroll in summer school at the university to solve this challenge! We were initially shocked that he would not be able to work at home during the summer. But, we now realize that this decision will simplify his course load and programming for next school year. We have also learned that the summer university housing costs are a bargain, the support systems are plentiful, and the courses are focused. Additionally, the summer weather is amazing!
EJ’s school supplies and personal property can be stored at a home near his school which will save us hours of transporting boxes. We are excited about this summer adventure as we prepare to launch another family member into college next fall.
Loving the adventures!
